So when more and more celebrities are choosing a vegan lifestyle we should take note!
Veganism is becoming mainstream!
Here are just a few of the celebrities that have adopted or are moving towards veganism.
Joaquín Rafael Phoenix: This Grammy and Golden Globe winning actor narrated the 2005 documentary ‘Earthlings’ about the suffering of animals for food, fashion, pets, entertainment and medical research.

Al Gore: The Former Vice President, philanthropist and chairman of The Climate Reality Project, a non-profit devoted to solving the climate crisis, Al Gore joined former President Clinton by adopting a vegan lifestyle in 2013 stating that it’s absolutely correct that the growing meat intensity of diets across the world is one of the issues connected to this global crisis.’
Aamir Khan: This leading Bollywood megastar went vegan after his film director wife, Krian Rao, showed him a video showing that 15 of the most common diseases that cause death can be prevented by a vegan diet.
Ariana Grande: The princess of pop went vegan at the tender age of twenty primarily due to the unethical way animals are treated. She stated ‘I am a firm believer in eating a full plant-based, whole food diet that can expand your life length and make you an all-around happier person.’
Beyonce: This music icon first adopted a vegan diet in 2013 to help with weight loss. She has since launched a vegan diet plan and exclaimed “I love vegan food, it make me feel flawless.’ We don’t believe Beyonce has fully embraced veganism as yet, but she is certainly heading in the right direction!
Ellen: Our favourite talk show host has been a passionate vegan for many years and even launched a vegan website to help people progress to veganism. Ellen chose to go vegan after she became aware of the true reality of eating meat, dairy and eggs. ‘I personally chose to go vegan because I educated myself on factory farming and cruelty to animals, and I suddenly realized that what was on my plate were living things, with feelings. And I just couldn’t disconnect myself from it any longer.’
Alicia Silverstone: This hollywood actress who proclaimed ‘Being vegan just gives you such great karma.’ has been vegan for nearly two decades. She has a hugely popular vegan website, The Kind Life and has authored the best selling vegan lifestyle book, ‘The kind Diet.’
Peter Dinklage: More popularly known as Tyrion Lannister in the game of thrones series, Peter Dinklage has been a vegetarian since the age of 16. Now vegan, he supports Farm Sanctuary and also narrated the video Face your Food, a film advocating veganism on ethical grounds.
Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez, Ellie Goulding, Jessica Simpson, Lea Michele, Jared Leto, Carrie Underwood, Russell Brand, Woody Harrelson, Alanis Morissette, Paul McCartney, Ashley Judd, Bryan Adams, Ellen Page, Pamela Anderson, Morrissey, Russell Simmons, Shania Twain, Travis Barker, Tobey Maguire, James Cameron are just a few of celebrities either already embracing veganism or moving towards a cruelty free lifestyle.
